Life & Other Adventures

Life has a remarkable way of providing material for a good story—even when I’m not looking for one.

With books, animals, travel, creative endeavors, and the little surprises of everyday life, there’s rarely a shortage of things to wonder about, laugh over, or occasionally shake my head at.

This is where I’ll share some of those adventures. Some will be exciting, some amusing, and others simply little moments worth remembering. After all, you never know where the next good story will come from!

Creatures Great & Small

Every good story needs a memorable cast of characters, and my everyday life is no exception.
Some have paws, one has a shell, and all seem to have an extraordinary talent for turning perfectly ordinary days into adventures. Occasionally, I even get to be in charge!

Adventures Near & Far

I’ve always been drawn to places with stories of their own. Whether exploring somewhere close to home or traveling halfway around the world, I love discovering the history, beauty, and unexpected surprises waiting around the next corner.

Sometimes the most memorable adventures are the ones you never planned. My fabulous nieces know exactly what I mean!

Life’s Little Amusements

Life has a marvelous sense of humor, although I occasionally suspect it’s laughing at me rather than with me.
From the peculiar things people say to the unexpected situations I somehow find myself in, there’s always something worth remembering—and often something worth laughing about.
I’ll be sharing these little moments, along with other stories and observations, over on the blog. After all, some of life’s best stories are the ones nobody could have made up!
